High-Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

  • Author: Harper
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A rich, velvety, high-protein smoothie that tastes like a chocolate peanut butter milkshake but is packed with real fuel. Ready in just five minutes, this recipe uses frozen bananas and natural ingredients to keep you full and satisfied until lunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large ripe banana, peeled, sliced, and frozen (about 120g)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (240ml)
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (30g)
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (32g)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder (5g)
  • 1 handful baby spinach (30g, optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds (5g, optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (40g, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the banana by peeling and slicing it into coins, then freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Pour the almond milk into the blender first to help the blades spin freely.
  3. Add the frozen banana, protein powder, peanut butter, cocoa powder, spinach, and chia seeds to the blender.
  4. Secure the lid and blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend for 30-60 seconds until completely smooth.
  5. Taste and adjust consistency by adding more milk if too thick or more ice/banana if too thin.
  6. Pour into a glass and serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

For the best texture, always use frozen fruit. If using natural peanut butter, stir well before scooping to incorporate the oil. This smoothie is best consumed fresh but can be stored in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; shake well before drinking if stored.
