Description
A refreshing, naturally gluten-free frozen peach mocktail that requires no thawing and is ready in just 5 minutes. Perfect for summer gatherings, this drink is kid-friendly, visually stunning, and easy to make.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (300g) frozen unsweetened peach slices
- 1 cup (240ml) fresh orange juice
- ½ cup (120ml) peach nectar
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice
- 1–2 tablespoons (15-30ml) simple syrup (optional, depending on peach sweetness)
- Fresh peach wedges for garnish
- Edible flowers or mint for garnish
- Sparkling water or prosecco for topping
Instructions
- Prep the fruit: If frozen peaches are rock-hard, let them sit on the counter for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly. If using fresh peaches, peel, pit, chop, and freeze for at least 2 hours.
- Blend the base: Add frozen peach slices, orange juice, peach nectar, lemon juice, and simple syrup (if using) to a high-speed blender.
- Blend on low to break up fruit, then gradually increase to high. Blend for 30-60 seconds until a smooth, thick slushie texture is achieved. Add more juice if too thick, or more peaches/ice if too thin.
- Taste and adjust: Check sweetness and tartness. Add more lemon juice if too sweet, or more simple syrup if too tart.
- Serve immediately: Pour the mixture into chilled glasses. Top with sparkling water for a mocktail or prosecco for an alcoholic version.
- Garnish with fresh peach wedges and mint or edible flowers.
Notes
This drink is best served immediately as it will melt if left sitting. For parties, blend in small batches throughout the evening. Do not freeze the blended mixture and thaw, as it will become watery. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Use room temperature juice for smoother blending. Pre-chill glasses for 15 minutes for a premium feel.
